Taqueria Nico, now named El Kora, has been a Gresham High School favorite for years.

Serving everything from real Mexican food to American classics, there is something for everyone. Because El Kora was just reopened and remodeled, many students may have wondered whether the new restaurant was any different from Taqueria Nico’s.

Freshman Makyah Lenz-Johnson said El Kora was still a family-friendly environment.

“The customer service was really good. They were nice and made sure everything was good with your food,” Johnson said.

Johnson said that the waiting time was okay, and the restaurant was nice and clean.

“I thought the food was really good for how many people were there,” Johnson said.

Even when the restaurant was busy it was still enjoyable. Her favorite menu item is the french fries.

“I would definitely recommend this to my family for when we go out to eat,” Johnson said.

“The restaurant was quiet and nice and warm feeling when you first enter,” freshman Maria Morales said. “The thing that I liked the most personally is both service and their food”

Overall everyone can all agree that if you have not gone to El Kora, try it out.
