Exclusive surprise at end of Fall Recognition Assembly

This Friday, October 31, there is a different schedule at the request of principal John Koch to handle a special surprise.

There will be ten minutes cut out for a specific event that Koch has planned. While it is unclear what Koch’s arrangements are, leadership advisor Kevin Hart said that television news will be there to record it all.

Junior Chloe Melton, student council member and head the Assembly Committee, is only aware of two thirds of the events going on.

During the assembly, student council will be recognizing all of the fall sports by giving each team captain a goodie bag, Melton said. Drama will also be performing a scene from “The Wizard of Oz.”

Leadership will also be announcing outstanding athletes, students and teachers of the month, said Hart.

Melton and Hart are unaware of what the last one third of the assembly will be about.

“The change to the end of the day was to accommodate for the people on the outside to come here,” Hart said.

For Koch, it was a unique and special need that changed the time of the assembly to the beginning of the day to the end.

The assembly starts at 1:58 p.m. and will be held in the main gym.
